Jurgen Kegels

Lab Responsible

At Sirris, I am responsible for the climate chamber in Antwerp. I help companies test their products and systems under a wide range of challenging climatic conditions. Together with my team, I manage the facilities, coordinate laboratory operations, and ensure the quality, safety and smooth execution of testing activities. I support companies in the technical and practical preparation of their tests and help them define the most suitable testing approach. My goal is to make the entire process as straightforward as possible, from the initial request through to test execution.

Would you like to know whether your product is suitable for testing in our climate chamber, or do you have questions about testing standards and environmental conditions? I would be happy to help.

Work experience

After spending ten years in the Belgian Defence, including five years as a professional officer in an Engineer Battalion, I moved into technical product management, product development and testing. During nearly nine years at Saint-Gobain Construction Products Benelux, I progressed from Development Engineer to Manager of a team responsible for testing, certification and innovation of construction products and systems.

Today, I manage the climate chamber at Sirris and contribute to the continuous expansion of its testing capabilities to support companies in their innovation and development projects.
