I design and develop software solutions with a focus on generative AI and advanced programming technologies. My dual background in academia and industry allows me to combine state-of-the-art knowledge with a clear understanding of the realities companies face. I know that organisations rarely have time to explore multiple technological options, even though these decisions have long-term consequences and may lead to technical debt. At Sirris, I help partners understand the technologies they consider so they can make well-informed decisions.
Feel free to reach out if you want to turn generative AI or advanced software technologies into reliable, scalable solutions that deliver measurable value for your organisation.

- Software engineering (cloud, databases, user interfaces, etc.)
- Implementation of programming languages
Work experience
I spent seven years in academia, conducting research and teaching functional programming and related topics. I then worked for six years as a consultant for various companies, including AppMap. Before joining Sirris in 2025, I returned to academia to complete my PhD after a four-year hiatus.
Studies
- PhD in Computer Science - Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) (2025)
- Master of Computer Science in Engineering - Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB) (2012)
Professional motto
"Programming should remain fun."
Fun fact
I’m the father of three children, my only project without documentation. I used to swim at a relatively high level (4:06 in the 400 m freestyle). Today, I practise boxing and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. I’m deeply passionate about functional programming.
